Light moves differently across an emerald cut—in broad planes, revealing the stone as the angle changes. In Cadence, that movement continues through graduated baguettes, carrying the lines of the center into the curve of the band. The elongated center gives the ring its direction. The baguettes give it rhythm. From above, a balanced composition of straight lines; in profile, an open setting beneath the stone. Each view reveals another relationship between light, shape and proportion. We begin in the stone.
