The BLAZE® cut emphasizes the most beautiful quality of a diamond, its unique ability to produce a rainbow of pure and vivid colors. No other gemstone can imitate this quality. No other diamond cut can surpass the BLAZE® cut in its ability to produce the prismatic fire, the natural beauty of a diamond.

No other diamond cut can surpass the BLAZE® cut in its ability to produce the prismatic fire, the natural beauty of a diamond.

The Blaze cut maximizes a diamond’s natural fire on every facet.

From the inventor of the Princess cut and the Quadrillion cut, comes a dramatic departure from traditional notions of a diamond’s visual properties: fire, scintillation, and brilliance. Fire is the flashes of prismatic rainbow colors, scintillation is the play between black and white, and brilliance is the brightness of the stone. While other cuts have focused on scintillation and brilliance, Bez Ambar concluded that prismatic fire is what gives a diamond its life. A flash of fire is only as big as the facet that creates it. To highlight this quality Bez Ambar designed a cut with fewer, larger facets. Using larger facets, while maintaining ideal angles breaks the light in such a way that the result in more fire as well as displaying the brilliance of a round.
After a lengthy investigation of optics and many hours of calculating the relationship between the size of the facets and their relative angles, Bez discovered that 13 is the number of facets that maximizes the amount of color dispersion in a stone. The new cut only has 13 facets, while most cuts have over 50. As a result, it produces bursts of vivid colors 10 times larger than any other diamond cut. He named the new cut BLAZE®.

“When the BLAZE® stones are set next to each other, they create large areas of uninterrupted brilliance infused with hundreds of colorful explosions of light.”Bez Ambar

In the first example, we have two earrings, prongs set round stones to the left and prongs set BLAZE® to the right. We placed the pieces in front of the same white LED light source, which imitates natural sunlight, and rotated the pieces back and forth to emulate their movement when someone is wearing them . As you can see, the vivid color flashes that burst out of the blaze piece in the center are incomparable to the round piece on its right. These following examples show over and over, how the BLAZE® is superior to the other cuts. This is a real comparison, not enhanced in any way. We encourage you to visit a BLAZE® authorized dealer and see it with your own eyes.
